Redundant & Scalable Connections
With a Freewire installation on a building rooftop, tenants have access to physically redundant Internet and Data connections for mission-critical business applications and communications. Prior to wireless and Freewire Broadband, this type of redundancy required multiple telco entrances into the base of a building and expensive & complex engineering from multiple telephone companies.
Value Propositions: Redundancy & Scalability
Freewire has learned to leverage the technical capabilities of WiMAX and other Wireless Technologies to add the following value to its current and potential customer base:
Redundancy - A Viable & Cost Effective Back-up Plan

CARRIER REDUNDANCY MISCONCEPTION
Many businesses attempt to build carrier redundancy into their telecom infrastructure. However, with no physical path diversity, businesses are unable to achieve any true redundancy.
- Two Internet Service Providers (ISP) to provide multiple access points to the Internet from different Points of Presence (POP)
- Due to limited options for “Last Mile” connectivity to the Customer, both ISPs backhaul traffic to the same Central Office (CO)
- Both ISPs traffic is delivered to customer using the same local access facility, creating a Single Point of Failure

Internet Redundancy Solution with Freewire
Similar to the above strategy, businesses can achieve “true” redundancy by adding Freewire to their telecom infrastructure. Freewire not only provides Carrier Redundancy, but also Local Access Redundancy. This is all accomplished at a fraction of the cost of the inferior solution above.
- Using Freewire and an additional ISP provides multiple access points to the Internet
- With Freewire “carrier independent” network , redundant Internet access is provided without sharing any facilities with the other ISP
- "Carrier Redundancy" is achieved by using both Freewire and a 2nd ISP. Additionally, this solution provides “Local Access Redundancy” by installing one circuit from the ground and one from the roof.
Scalability - Upgrading Bandwidth in Minutes versus Months
Freewire
- Scalable from 2m-10m over the phone
- Provisioned within same day of Request
- No additional Installation Costs
- No expensive Router/Firewall upgrades
No contract revision or extend terms needed |

Telco
- Scalability requires more T-1s
- Additional Installation Expense for T-1s
- Router Network Card upgrade required
- 30-day Installation Interval
Additional Contract required |
