Fixed Wireless Overview
Fixed Wireless is the next generation of wireless data technology. It is important to know that Fixed Wireless is not a cellular service or a WiFi Hot Spot. Fixed Wireless is, in essence, wireless fiber. As depicted above, Freewire Fixed Wireless is based on the same radio frequency technology that you use in your car radio to transmit data to and from our tower to your premise. The wireless signal is then converted at the radio into the traditional Ethernet protocol you use to run your local area network. This Ethernet traffic is delivered to your server room via a CAT5e cable. Freewire’s solution provides comparable security, greater scalability, and is more cost effective offering than any other telco solution.
