Frequently Asked Questions

Of the 250+ small/medium/large businesses that are enjoying the services from Freewire Broadband, the most common questions are wrapped up in these 7 categories.

RELIABILITY - Freewire Broadband uses RF (radio frequency) to deliver services. When’s the last time the radio in your car failed? Radio is the one medium that we will turn to in an emergency. Freewire Broadband’s network occupies the same infrastructure as the Emergency Broadcast Network.  Because of our network architecture, our backup power lasts for many many days, our towers have superior structural stability, and we reside high above the flood plain.

The Freewire Broadband network has a minimum of 3 FCC Licensed 200+Mbps radios on each primary tower location for complete network redundancy. Each POP is also supplied with FCC Licensed RF Links and a redundant fiber path to our tier 1 and tier 2 preferred upstream providers in 3 geographic diverse locations throughout the Portland Metro area.

Every precaution has been taken in building the Freewire Broadband network to ensure complete reliability. The founders of Freewire Broadband believe that winning customers is not nearly as vital as keeping them.
