Freewire Broadband is an entrepreneurial provider of business class, wireless broadband - twice the speed and half the price - for businesses who see the Internet as mission critical.
Founded in 2004, Freewire organically constructed high above the wires and confusing rats nests of copper under our streets to provide a niche based service that the Telcos have been unable or unwilling to do since their beginning. The only copper in our network is the Ethernet cable we provide our customers at the handoff. We are a pure wireless to fiber network. We own our entire network and are not beholden to anyone but our customers. We sell and support Internet connections to small-medium-large businesses. Circuits ranging in size from 2Mbps to over 1Gig can be installed in a matter of days. Our fastest installation times are on our 2-10Mbps product. These can be Internet or Private Ethernet Transport between multiple locations. We seamlessly transport VoIP, data & video applications.
Our network is built on MPLS. We have an FCC licensed Microwave core network that strategically resides and coexists with the Emergency Broadcast System. We have many Gigs of capacity. Our backup power and vertical ring architecture is unmatched. The Freewire Network footprint covers the Portland, Vancouver, Salem, and Eugene markets. Our network provides pure redundancy and complete reliability. Secure data transmission is not a concern. Our customers love us.
